Oscar allows businesses to more easily comply with incoming Net Zero regulations by assessing their supply chain for potential ESG risks with a standardized and automated solution. The platform allows companies to easily screen and score their suppliers against international and regional best practices in sustainability. Oscar seamlessly integrates into existing procurement processes and uses due diligence protocols to highlight areas of concern. We also educate suppliers, allowing them to increase their performance and reduce the risks of working with them. The Oscar solution is fully-compliant with UN SDG KPIs, UN Global CompactGRISASB, and IFC disclosures. Oscar is also the only platform that tailors these requirements for clients in the GCC and the MENA region allowing them to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Our vision is to create a world of economic and environmental continuity starting with a holistic sustainability due diligence suite that services the construction industry and commercial and government entities to help mitigate the risk of supply-chain disruptions and ensure sound sustainable durability.

The GCC and the wider MENA region are all addressing the rising importance of business sustainable development and the UAE has made great strides in being at the forefront of SDG-related initiatives becoming strategically positioned to see this to fruition.

Sustainable Development Goals in the UAE

When it comes to sustainable development, the United Arab Emirates has demonstrated that it is among the most committed countries in the GCC.

It established the SDG Data Hub in 2017, in partnership with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA) and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), as well as as a National Committee to advise on sustainability issues in 2018.

In November 2018, the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, in collaboration with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), launched the Sustainable Development Goals Centre of Excellence for the Arab Region (SDGCAR).

The SDGCAR is a unique initiative that promotes educational training, research, and policy advisory activities, and supports Arab policymakers in their effort to achieve the SDGs.

In 2021, the UAE launched its most ambitious initiative yet, with the announcement of UAE Net Zero 2050.

We take great pride in supporting and contributing to the UAE’s progressive push towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our unwavering commitment to helping companies across the MENA region measure and assess the wider impact of their actions is manifested in our services and mission.
